Privacy Policy

Marketpon, Inc. (“Marketpon”, “we”) builds an AI content platform that generates, schedules and publishes content to social media accounts you connect. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who else touches it.

What we collect

Account information

Your email address, a hashed password, your workspace and brand names, and team membership.

Social account credentials

When you connect Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn or X, we store the access token that platform issues, the account identifiers, and the permissions granted. Tokens are encrypted at rest. We never receive or store your social media password.

Content you create

Captions, images, video, schedules, brand voice settings, products and people you define, and the posts we publish on your instruction.

Publicly available social content

If you use our capture tools, we store publicly visible posts and engagement counts from accounts you choose to track, for competitive research. This is set out in full in How we handle captured content, which covers what is recorded, who can see it, how to have a post removed, and why the extension is a recorder rather than a crawler. We do not capture private or follower-restricted content.

Usage and performance data

Feature usage, AI credit consumption, publish success and failure records, and diagnostic logs. Logs redact secrets and partially mask identifiers.

Payment information

Handled entirely by Stripe. We store a customer identifier, your plan, and billing status. We never see or store your card number.

How we use it

• To operate the product — generating content, scheduling, and publishing where you tell us to.
• To personalise generation to your brand voice and audience.
• To meter AI credits and bill the correct amount.
• To diagnose failures, which is why publish attempts are recorded in detail.
• To send service email — failures, approvals, invitations and billing notices.

We do not sell your data, and we do not train our own models on your content.

Sub-processors

Data is shared with these services only as needed to run the product:

• Anthropic — text generation. Receives prompts containing your brand context and content briefs.
• OpenAI — image generation when you select the GPT Image path. Receives image prompts and approved reference material.
• Google (Gemini) — image generation. Receives image prompts and reference material.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
• Meta (Instagram, Facebook), LinkedIn, X — receive the content you publish, on your instruction.
• Our hosting and database providers — store the data described above.

AI providers process your prompts to return a result. We do not authorise them to train on your content.

Retention

We keep your content while your account is open. Cancelling a paid plan does not delete anything — you return to Free-tier limits and your work stays in your workspace. If you delete your account we remove your content and revoke stored tokens within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax and accounting.

Your rights

You can access, export, correct or delete your data, withdraw consent, and disconnect any social account at any time — disconnecting revokes the stored token immediately. Depending on where you live you may also have rights under the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Security

Credentials are encrypted at rest. Sessions use signed, http-only cookies. Passwords are hashed with scrypt. Access to production data is limited to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.

Children

Marketpon is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will post any change here and update the date above. Material changes will be emailed to you before they take effect.
